An applicant tracking system (ATS) is a software designed to streamline the work of
recruiters and HR professionals, making their tasks more efficient.
They hired me as a Product Designer to enhance the application usability and visual
consistency.
To achieve this goal, we used the Lean UX Canvas methodology to create and test improvement hypotheses,
prioritize enhancements, and allocate resources effectively.
We conducted a thorough quantitative usability analysis of the interface, meticulously assessing the contrast
and visual hierarchy of the content in various views of the software.
Subsequently, we engaged in insightful interviews with a group of users, gaining valuable information about
their current system usage, as well as any feedback they had regarding potential enhancements to the software's
core functionalities.
With this information, tasks were assigned to the development team, consisting of a Full Stack Developer and a
UX Designer
To organize the development sprints effectively, we created a matrix that allowed us to prioritize the critical
improvements the software needed.
One of the main priorities for our client was to strengthen their brand since they
lacked a design system and had little recognition in the market.
We implemented advertising campaigns on different platforms to attract and invite users to try their
software.
Through comparative analysis, we evaluated the changes made to confirm or discard hypotheses, enabling us to
continuously improve our client's product.
